History
Race Winning Brands Europe (RWBE) was historically started as ProX Racing Parts, a Motocross oriented Engine parts brand. In 1998 The Dover Corporation acquired Wiseco Pistons, followed by ProX Racing parts and shortly after that JE Pistons. With this small group of companies a platform Performance Motorsports Inc. (PMI) was founded. Through the years many brands have been added to the group. As ProX Racing Parts had a geographically a convenient location in Europe, soon the location was utilized as Sales Office and Warehouse for the PMI Brands supporting every corner of Europe. In order to improve the service and execute a one-stop-shopping strategy, Race Winning Brands Europe (named PMI Europe at that time) has been adding many “external brands” mainly coming from the USA. Early 2017 PMI was acquired by a new Private Equity group and as a result the name was changed into Race Winning Brands. Under the new private equity umbrella a significant number of brands have been added strengthening the portfolio as well as expertise even more.
Products and market
The product portfolio is extensive. RWBE does not only provide the majority of the material required for building a race engine, there are also many parts available outside the engine such as Engine management, Exhaust and Transmission components. In the Powersports segment with ProX Racing Parts this goes even further with high wear items like brake components and filters. In that respect RWBE supplies parts for the enthusiast level upto the professional racer in both the Automotive and Powersports segment.
Today
Through the years RWBE has been adding many new brands to their offerings, elevating the product program and service in both the Powersports and Automotive segments. Today, RWBE is not only the head office of the successful ProX Racing Parts brand, but also the only European Automotive distribution company with such large product portfolio and brands readily available from a significant inventory. A total of around 30 internal and external brands boost the total sku’s to a level exceeding 55.000 supporting thousands of applications.
With having direct access to data and systems of our manufacturing sister companies around the world we can provide a reliable and fast service of those, mainly non-European brands, in the European market. As no other in this industry, RWBE has direct access to, and knowledge, about the internal brands. Furthermore RWBE is leveraging the local market knowledge and close contact with the customer with strong and reputable brands.
Customers
RWBE does not sell to consumers but only to businesses in the Powersports and Automotive industry. From the dealer and engine builder level up to large distribution companies and ecommerce specialists. Next to the traditional aftermarket channel RWBE is also supporting many OEM companies with products for prototyping as well as first equipment.
